Play me first.

I remember when I just bought the domain for my blog over a year ago. I remember when I wrote my very first post. When I hit 10 followers and how excited I was about it. I continued to write posts with a narrow stream of traffic, but for a small and loving audience. Now my blog has been viewed in 190 countries by thousands of beautiful souls from all over the world. As my blog grew, my readers grew with it.

I am writing this because I want to thank you. This connection that I have built with all of you means so much. And I want you to know that you should always feel free to reach out to me in anyway. Most of you I haven’t met in person, but I trust that our paths will cross one day, somehow, somewhere. And it’s important for me respond to all, if not most of your messages and comments. Every like, every comment, every message, every email that you have sent to me means more to me than you will ever know. I cry whenever I read these things. Because it moves me. Because despite the pixels, the miles, countries, and oceans between us, I feel it. I feel the power of the intrinsic connection that lies within our souls.

I will always try my best to help you in any way that I can. Your messages are filled with so much heart, your stories and adventures have so much passion, and nothing makes me happier than seeing you inspired. And through that, you do the same for me. Because when you set out to inspire others, it comes right back. And you get a whole lot of it in return. For that, thank you.

A bunch of you took the leap. You silenced your fears, you silenced the discouraging words around you, you felt your dreams, you felt your bliss, you felt your goosebumps, and you followed it. And I can’t explain the kind of happiness that fills my heart whenever I think of this. I imagine you all with bliss in your hearts, wanderlust slaked, your arms and hands open and dancing in the wind with freedom , wherever you are, whoever you are. I imagine it all, and I am reminded of why I do this.

So now, I am inviting you on a little writing assignment:

  • Tell me what happened after your read this post and bought that damn plane ticket.
  • Write me your moments of Satori during your adventures, your stories of the place you went, and the best photos you took of it.
  • Send it to me before this year ends: thewanderers.satori@gmail.com
  • Tell me how you have inspired someone through your actions and through your journey.
  • And I will feature the most inspiring ones on a collection of stories through a blog post.
  • I will also offer a 15-30 minute Skype session to chat and connect with you, as a token of my love & gratitude.

This blog is alive for you. I write and take pictures because my perception of the world, the experiences I have lived,  the things I have learned isn’t for me to keep.  I do this to share it with you. I do this to make you see and feel the magic that is hidden between these moments, these places, these people. Not many see it, but it’s there. And if we always choose to see it, that kind of magic will seep into all of us. Filling our hearts, our souls, our bodies, with its beauty that we won’t choose to see things any other way.

So to my fellow wanderers, adventurers, dreamers, and kindred spirits. Tell me your stories, I will share it, the light will spread, and the magic will consume us all.

To never-ending adventures,

Stephanie | Satori
